Multiplex at Wynwood Art district during Art Basel 2012

Curator’s Voice Art Project
2509 NW, 2nd ave, (bet 25&26 st.)
Wynwood Art District, Miami

During the weekend of Art Basel Miami, Jean Nestares will be exhibiting at Curator’s Voice Art project, in the Wynwood Art district of Miami. Jean will be presenting some of her latest work inspired by movement, people and the vigorous pulse of New York City. This interest in movement is a side effect of her professional training in cinematography and working for years as a director and producer in a television. Her current work makes still photography appear as if it’s alive and moving by marrying cinematographic principles with high quality traditional non- manipulated photography. This diversity of backgrounds and experiences gives her work such depth and power. “I love canvassing time and space in New York City and its ever changing scenarios. One day the element is there and the next day is gone. The fierce individualism of the New Yorker, the often abandoned infrastructure that is destined to disappear or be transformed makes the pictures take both timeless and fleeting. Through it all, the organized chaos of the bustling city and its armies of perpetually moving people helps give my work here a special flavor. I introduce the notion of time and places being continuously reinvented”. Jean Nestares is presenting her series Multiplex in limited edition series of five available in three different sizes. The exhibition runs from November 17th, 2012 until January 2013 at Art Curator’s Voice Art Project located on 2509 NW , 2nd ave, ( Bet 25 & 26 st.) Wynwood Art District, Miami.Fl 33127.
